As I sit here creating my Christmas / Birthday “wish list” for hubs and sis I am trying to look for brands that are eco-friendly.  For those wondering, yes Christmas and birthday do occur within a week from the other and it has always sucked.  AND yes, it IS OK for adults to have wish lists too; in fact my hubby PREFERS to know EXACTLY what and where to find something I want.  Why buy something expensive if the receiving partner does not like it, right?  Anyways, I digress.  As this list is being created, I wanted to do my best at doing my part in being more “green”.  In today’s world of trying to be more “green” in order to save our planet for our children, their children, and so forth, everyone seems to be getting on the band wagon one way or another.  There are green cleaning products (which I use), organic foods (sometimes I buy depending on if I am not too lazy and have a bit more money), organic clothing lines (have not done this yet), and now technology is going more “green”.  Even retail companies who distribute the goods are realizing that more and more consumers are trying to be more “green” and therefore are looking for gadgets that are eco-friendly. 

So getting back to my wish list, there are a couple electronic items I have listed that are actually considered “green”.  Course I can only HOPE that I might get lucky with at least one new gadget this year.  Hey, a girl can HOPE, right?!  At least that is what I tell myself!  Two items on that list include a new Fuji digital camera and an Apple Macbook.  Good thing Apple and Fuji are two companies that are doing their part in providing eco-friendly technology.  This way I will feel better about owning the gadget in more ways than one!  The newer Apple Macbooks that I am coveting badly for are being manufactured with aluminum cases versus the traditional plastic.  The EPA even ranked them as the most eco-friendly.  The newer Fuji digitals cameras are also getting more eco-friendly.
