Friday’s Blast to the Past…Games

Since Wordless Wednesday was a picture of us playing Jenga, thought this Friday I should keep with the theme and blog about what games I played with as a child.

Now that you’ve seen mine, what were some of your favorites?

I liked Sorry and Chinese checkers when I was a kid. I also played a lot of card games - Uno, Crazy 8’s Old Maid, Go Fish, Solitare

I remember Girl Talk… I don’t remember the specifics of it… I just know the box made something in my head click when seeing it just now. UNO was always a big favorite of mine as well as Trouble, Sorry, and Clue.

I LOVED Girl Talk and Clue. I also loved playing Operation… that was probably when I was a little younger, though. Connect Four and Guess Who were two other favorites!

Monopoly, Life, Trouble, Mouse Trap and card games like Uno were our favorites. We also like the old ones like checkers and chess. But we mostly played outdoors when I was a kid. Board games were for night times or when the weather was bad.

I played a lot of Clue and Payday growing up.

I played Parcheesi, Sorry, Life, Monopoly, Racko, Yahtzee, Battleship … I could go on and on.

I love the “older” board games from my generation, and they seem to be the most popular with my kids as well!
