Short on funds but want to do something personal for friends and family? How about adding “bling” to plain brushes, compact mirrors, or purses/bags with rhinestones or beads (it’s a good thing my daughter and sister don’t read my blog…lol)? Why don’t you decorate wine glasses and make wine glass charms out of beads for your girlfriends (I now REALLY hope my girls aren’t reading this…lol)? How about creating fleece blankets that only require you to tie the end strips? Why don’t you pull out your favorite cookie/bread cookbook and purchase tins from the $1 store to give away as gifts? One year I even bought several dozen tapered candles and tied them with a bow and gave them out to visiting guests. The list is endless…do you have some ideas of your own? Post it here and share with all!

The Blogama Blog Roll

Cute ideas! My friend gave me home-made wine charms one Christmas. I use them all the time! I love making soups and I’ve always had the idea of making a homemade mini collection of my favorite soups. You can do this with small plastic photo books, print the recipes out on the computer to fit in the book. Decorate it with embellishments.

I would love to receive gifts like those. If my friend made something for me, it means so much more than store bought.
You are quite the crafty lady. I love homemade gifts.
